About Yingying Brown
Yingying Brown is from Liuzhou, Guangxi Province, China. Prior to settling in Maine with her husband, Yingying majored in Accounting Studies at North China Jiaotong University Beijing. After a year and half of marriage and life in China, Yingying and Richard decided to move to Maine, where Richard grew up. Yingying joined MCS’s teacher team in the spring of 2007 as a part-time Chinese teacher. She feels that a part-time teaching position affords her a good work-life balance with her husband and their two sons.
In her spare time, Yingying loves gardening, cooking, swimming,playing table tennis,badminton and pickleball. Her most favorite thing is to share her cooking methods with friends and family.
Before Chewonki
Yingying is a member of The Chinese American Friendship Association of Maine. She has taught Mandarin classes at CAFAM Saturday School during her son’s early childhood years. She also was an After School Enhance Program Mandarin instructor for four years at St John Catholic school in Brunswick, and a Mandarin teacher at The Deck House School in Edgecomb for two and half years. In addition to teaching Mandarin, Yingying has also taught cooking classes at Wiscasset adult Education.

Yingying currently lives in Dresden with her husband and two sons.
