Lynne Breen

Lynne Breen has specialized in independent schools admissions for more than two decades. A Boston native, she holds a BA from University of Colorado, Boulder, an MBA from Pepperdine University and spent ten years in finance at NBC.

After moving to Maine, Lynne started her career in independent schools, first as Director of Admissions at North Yarmouth Academy. In 2004, she became the first Dean of Admissions at Waynflete School. Lynne has also  served on the NAIS Financial Aid Services Advisory Task Force for a decade, and has served as a national consultant  on enrollment strategy since 2008.

After working in what she describes as an “inside job,” time in nature remains an essential part of her daily life. The opportunity to now help Chewonki students learn through nature and community feels especially purposeful to Lynne, and she believes the goals of Maine Coast Semester are more meaningful and relevant than ever.
