A magical intersection of science, art, and natural history happens every semester in the classroom of Chris Percy, Spanish Teacher and Dean of Residential Life for Maine Coast Semester at Chewonki. 

Recently, a few special animal guests from our wildlife center were invited in to visit and serve as living models for “la cuenta de especie,” a class project where students are asked to put both naturalist observation and their Spanish skills to the test:
