Semester Schedule

Semester Schedule

Students attend Maine Coast Semester for one semester. The fall semester is 14 weeks and the spring semester is 15 weeks in length. All academic classes meet for the equivalent of 3.5 hours per week except science, which meets for approximately 6-7 hours per week, and includes a 4-hour field lab. Classes meet in 45 and 70-minute blocks. Academic classes are held Monday through Friday.

Our Weekly Block Schedule

The academic schedule at Maine Coast Semester expresses our commitment to academic rigor and to experiential learning. It is dynamic and full, with class block lengths varying depending on the subject. Long blocks in the afternoons and Saturday mornings give us time to explore nearby landscapes and build skills in the field, the farm, and through our work program.
