So, as some of you might know, Chewonki weekends are kind of crazy. We have a scheduled activity on Saturday morning, free time after lunch and an evening activity that is planned by a dish crew. These can range dress up roller-skating to having a campfire in Osprey Circle. We get to stay up a whole hour later on Saturday nights and it is a day for bonding with fellow semester people.
This past Saturday, most of us went to take the dreaded SATs. However, this Saturday also included an event of the OAPathon, where we gained points for our respective teams. On a typical Sunday, we have a late brunch at 10:30 and then have free time the whole day until an early dinner at 5:15. However, like Saturday, this Sunday was much crazier than most. We got up late, had the option to row, had OAPathon relays at 1:30 and then optional Zumba at 2:15. As you can obviously see, as the semester starts to wind down, more and more people try to fit in activities to make the time slow down. I don’t know if it’s working, but anything that makes my time here longer sounds good with me!
